Tightening loose mirrors
« on: January 03, 2018, 03:50:18 PM »
Thought this may help someone out.

Tightening loose mirrors without removing the glass.

Looking at the inside of the mirror with the glass removed, this is what you see.

So mark a line along the center of the mirror housing, like so:

Mark a point 8mm above the stalk mount.

Center drill and open up to 16mm.

You will now be able to see the nut that tensions the spring.

Insert a 10mm spanner and tighten up the nut.

When you're done, fit a 16mm grommet to the hole so you can access the nut again in the future.

If you come to a fork in the road, take it.
